What is online giving?
Online giving is the ability to give a donation or schedule a repeating series of donations using your debit card, credit card or bank account.
What is a repeating gift schedule?
This is similar to a subscription. You can choose how often you would like an automatic donation to be made—weekly, every two weeks or monthly.
Are there any hidden charges or fees to give online?
No. You select the dollar amount for your gift. That is the dollar amount that will be recognized as your donation. No costs or fees.
Can I use my debit card or credit card?
Yes. We accept any debit or credit card issued by Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
Can I use an electronic check?
Yes, simply hit the down arrow and choose the “Checking Account” option on the payment page.
I pay a lot of bills online through my bank. Can I give through my bank bill pay?
Absolutely. Just have the bank pay GatheringPoint Church, 897. W. Bourbonnais Parkway, Bourbonnais, IL 60914.
Can I just try this by giving one time?
Sure. When you select the “Give” button on gatheringpoint.church/nextsteps/give/ it will automatically take you to the online giving page where you can set up an account or make a one-time donation.
How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
You will receive an email notification each time you make a donation. However, if you want to see all of your donations together on one screen, you can click on your account, click on give, click on schedules/history and then on the right choose “Giving Statement.”
What if I want to change my online giving schedule or stop it?
When you click Give in your account, select “Schedules/History.” Click “Cancel” next to the schedule you would like to update. Once your current gift is canceled, simply set up a new gift with updated amount, designation or date.
How do I participate in the weekly offering if my contribution is automatically processed online?
You can still participate in the offering during the service by reflecting on the message of the song or media that is being presented.
