Welcome to Be Rich 2023!

Be Rich is an annual series to mobilize the church for extraordinary generosity and selfless service. The name is inspired by 1 Timothy 6:17–18: “Command those who are rich in this present world . . . to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”

Each week of the campaign is dedicated to a call to action—a specific way we ask our attendees to be rich toward others:

WEEK 1: Give financially to help our nonprofit partners.
WEEK 2: Serve those around you.

We are excited to imagine the difference we can make—individually and collectively—joining together to be rich in good deeds, to be generous and willing to share.

Meet Our 2023 Partners

Every dollar raised during our Be Rich annual series will be donated to one of the following organizations to help them further their mission and impact.
Our goal is 100% participation, and our promise is 100% donation.

Lifeline Christian Mission

Meal Packing through Lifeline Christian Mission provides nutritious meals, both locally and globally to children and families who are impacted by hunger and malnutrition. Money given through BeRich will go towards our serve day on October 28, where we will pack meals for those struggling with hunger in the United States. A meal of rice and veggies will help give stability to these families who are living in uncertainty and spark hope for their future. When a healthy meal is given in Jesus’ name, that can change everything

LoveALatte

The mission at LoveALatte is to provide a job training opportunity for young adults with special needs in Kankakee County. Interns who work at LoveALatte help prepare quality coffee drinks, and are trained in customer service and money management. After working at LoveALatte, they are equipped with the skills to help them be successful in future employment opportunities. By supporting LoveALatte through Be Rich we can help them purchase another trailer for coffee service and contribute towards their big dream of opening a stand-alone storefront.

Garden of Prayer Youth Center

Garden of Prayer Youth Center is a faith-based, non-profit organization located in Kankakee and Momence. Their mission is to plant the seeds of hope in children by providing mental health and educational services that will produce success. Most of the children and families Garden of Prayer serves are low-income, and many live well below the poverty level. They provide group home and residential services, emergency and specialized foster care services, and other family-oriented services.
