Control Freak | Autonomy - Sermon

Do you know any pushy, self-centered, angry people who always have to get their way? We can all be guilty of this in some capacity. From the power-hungry boss who tells you what your opinion is supposed to be to the manipulative parent who bombards you with criticisms and prophecies of doom until you do what they want. Control Freaks can be terrified of feeling powerless, so they gather as many illusions of control as possible.

But how can we avoid or overcome the tendency to be a Control Freak? We do this by learning that the antidote for control is surrender. As we learn to surrender and trust in our Heavenly Father, we discover that He is in control.
