Throughout this stage, you will become more familiar with the person and story of Jesus.

Congratulations on taking the next step on your lifelong spiritual growth journey. Remember, you are not alone! Your Discipleship Guide is here to support and encourage you through this stage and the stages to follow to build a strong foundation of faith and spiritual growth.  

There are no shortcuts to growing your faith. Relationships require hard work. So, let's get started!

Discipleship Guide

Your Guide will be a resource as you grow in your relationship with Jesus.  They will be a wise spiritual leader who listens well and helps keep you accountable to grow in specific areas of your life throughout your journey. Your Guide will also provide insight and assistance on handling hard situations and overcoming sin in your life.
Throughout this next year, you will meet with your Guide five times and engage in the recommended resources provided below:
MEETING 1:   Getting to know one another; share your story with your guide and discuss next steps; begin working through recommended resources.
MEETING 2:   Scheduled one month after your first meeting.
MEETING 3 & 4:  Continue to check-in quarterly regarding GrowthPoint Resource progress.
MEETING 5:  Retake the assessment, celebrate growth areas, and clarify goals for your next stage.

  • Make attending church a priority.
  • Ask God to forgive you of your sins and be the leader of your life.
  • Begin reading the Bible.

  • Be open-minded.
  • Become a better listener to God through prayer.
  • Be vulnerable in your spiritual walk with others.
  • Share with a friend what God has done in your life.
  • Consider serving in one of our many ministry areas.
